AAX Biotech has made two key appointments as it seeks to further develop its research efforts and business presence.
Ionut Gabriel Dumitru (pictured left) joins the Stockholm-based biotechnology company as senior scientist and Kushal Sejwal (pictured right) arrives at the company as business developer.
Dumitru will lead all R&D initiatives at the company and working to advance its epitope mapping capabilities. He brings to the role a wealth of experience in next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics and antibody engineering and comes to AAX from the Karolinska Institute.
He said: “I am excited to join AAX and contribute to advancing its innovative technologies, integrating protein biology with cutting-edge robotics and machine learning.”
Meanwhile, Sejwal will focus on AAX’s partnerships and growth. He has over a decade of experience within the intersection of science and strategy, specifically commercialisation efforts in structural biology and cryoelectron microscopy.
He said: “I am looking forward to contributing to AAX Biotech’s growth by building strong collaborations and expanding the reach of Seqitope and Opti-mAb in the rapidly evolving field of antibody therapeutics.”
